A VPG is the core unit of replication in Zerto. It groups one or more VMs together and replicates them as a set from a protected site to a recovery site.

VPG states to know
- Meeting SLA — healthy, replicating normally
- Not meeting SLA — journal is too full or replication is behind
- VPG outside of ZORG — resources aren’t assigned to the correct ZORG
