A ZORG is a logical grouping of cloud resources in Zerto Cloud Manager (ZCM). VPGs and their associated resources (VMs, datastores) must be assigned to a ZORG or errors will occur.
Common ZORG error
“VPG outside of ZORG” — occurs when a VM or datastore used by a VPG isn’t assigned to the ZORG that the VPG belongs to.
Causes:
- A VM migrated to a different host/datastore that isn’t in the ZORG
- A datastore was removed from the ZCM and needs to be re-added
- The VPG recovery settings point to a cluster-level resource pool instead of a ZORG-specific one
