SBRS is a reputation score assigned by Cisco/Talos to email senders based on their sending history and behaviour. It ranges from -10 (worst) to +10 (best).
How it works
- Cisco analyses billions of emails globally and scores sending IPs/domains
- Score is based on volume sent, spam complaints, blacklist appearances, and more
- The SEG uses SBRS to automatically categorise senders into HAT sender groups
Score ranges (typical)
| Range | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| -10 to -3 | Blocked — known bad senders |
| -3 to 0 | Throttled or suspect |
| 0 to 6 | Accepted — neutral/unknown |
| 6 to 10 | Trusted — known good senders |
