Logs downloaded from the GUI show way more detail, such as why an email that was previously in the deferred queue was deferred in the first place.
Get the queue ID from syslog though
Can go back a month:
About → Log Manager → choose misc option for maillogs → Past week → Create
If you want to see deferred queue reasons (i.e for fireeye “delays”) use the “maillogs” file and chuck it into notepad ++ and search for queue ID.
Follow email trail till the queue ID changes. This is the Queue ID 2 which shows the mail being requeued or delivery to next hop
