Anti Affinity are rules that are used to keep certain VM’s or resource groups apart from each other.

Example of this would be to have a VM on a different host, so when one host is down, the VM can still continue without outage

Here’s how to check if they are enabled:

Find the VM, click on the cluster it is located in

Under “Configure” on the top ribbon, click on VM/Host Rules

In the list of rules, look for a name that suggests Anti-Affinity. Good indicator is also the type being “Separate Virtual Machines”

Check if the rule is enabled, the subheading under VM/Host Rule Details also explains what the rule does. Check if the VM you are verifying has anti-affinity setup is listed under “Rule Members”

If they are, then anti-affinity is setup for that vm, if not then theyre not lmao
